A SCHOOL in Stroud called for police after fears that a fight could take place.
A police officer and a police community support officer (PCSO) attended Archway Secondary School on Monday, June 27.
Head teacher at Archway Colin Belford said: “We had a small group of youths who are not Archway students congregating at our school gates at the beginning of the week.
“We made our local police contact aware of this as we were concerned that some of our students could find this intimidating.
“They offered to attend to see for themselves and provide support for the school.”
A spokesman for Gloucestershire Constabulary said: “We were asked to maintain a police presence outside a Stroud school after concerns that a fight may take place at the end of the school day.”
