COSTA Coffee is to remain closed until further notice after a fire at the High Street shop this morning.
A spokesman for Costa said the shop is likely to remain closed over the weekend and early next week while a damage investigation report is made.
Firefighters were called to the blaze at 7.18am on Friday where an air conditioning unit had reportedly caught alight.
Onlookers said that the blaze had taken between 20 and 30 minutes to extinguish with firefighters using one jet and two breathing apparatus.
The fire could be seen from all around the Stroud Valleys. Brian Cooke took this picture of the black smoke from Shepherds Croft in Stroud at about 7.30am.
