SHOPPERS can grab a bargain at a bric-a-brac and book sale to raise money for charity in Stonehouse.

All Pulling Together in Park Parade is holding the sale in aid of the Help a Hedgehog Hospital on Saturday (July 30) between 10am-2pm.

Volunteers organised the sale after a hedgehog was rescued from a drainpipe in Severn Road, Stonehouse, last month by Five Valleys Hedgehog and Bird Rescue, based in Thrupp.

A volunteer at the community centre helped organise the hedgehog rescue mission.

The aim of the hedgehog hospital is to help raise awareness of the problems faced by hedgehogs and also provide care, treatment and rehabilitation for these wild animals.

All Pulling Together is a community association that was created five years ago to help residents on the Park Estate with things such as job searching, CV writing and housing problems.
