A POLICE helicopter is helping in the search for an elderly woman who has gone missing with her dog in Stroud.
Mary Wood, aged 80, was last seen leaving her house at midday today (Friday 29 July) in the Callowell area of Stroud to walk her dog.
Mary has recently left hospital and her family are concerned about how long she has been away from home.
She also hasn’t taken her mobile phone with her.
She is described as white, 5 foot 1, with grey hair.
She is thought to be wearing a red jacket and light coloured trousers. Mary’s dog is a ‘foxy brown’ coloured Labrador called Rufus.
It’s likely Mary will have headed for woodland or fields to walk her dog.
Anyone who sees Mary or Rufus should call police on 101 quoting incident 266 of 29 July.
