GLOUCESTERSHIRE will face a major problem behind the stumps after being drawn against Durham in the T20 Blast quarter-finals on Wednesday week.

The county have both four-day skipper Gareth Roderick and Thornbury’s Chris Dent out injured and are unable to play new recruit Phil Mustard as he is on loan from – Durham.

After Gloucestershire beat Middlesex on Friday night in their final group game, one-day captain Michael Klinger admitted that there will be a headache to overcome in the build-up towards that big match on August 10 at the Brightside Ground, which has a 6.30pm start.

Klinger said: “Of course, Durham creates a problem for us in terms of a wicketkeeper because Gareth Roderick and Chris Dent are injured and we won't be able to play Phil Mustard, who is on loan to us from our quarter-final opponents.

"It is something we will overcome. Young Pat Grieshaber did well for us behind the stumps in our Royal London Cup win over Sussex at Cheltenham and showed he can bat as well in that game.

"I'm delighted to have a quarter-final in front of our own fans and we showed again that we can win from tough situations. All credit to Jack Taylor, who grabbed the opportunity presented by Chris Dent's hand injury and played a fantastic knock."

If Gloucestershire win the quarter-final, they will head to Edgbaston on Saturday August 20 for T20 Blast Finals day.
