A MAN knocking on doors in Minchinhampton offering to deliver newspapers could be suspicious, police have warned.

The white man, who officers say looks about 30, was going door to door in the village offering residents deliveries of local papers on Thursday, July 28 at about 4pm.

“He is thought to be suspicious because there have been enquiries made at the newsagents in Minchinhampton and it’s nothing to do with them and they are responsible for local paper deliveries,” said Carl Parrott, Gloucestershire Constabulary intelligence officer for Stroud.

The door-knocker was wearing a big white jumper at the time.

Ring police on 101 with information, incident number 440 July 28.
