A MOTORIST was airlifted to Southmead Hospital with “life-changing” injuries after a crash on the A436 at Andoversford.
Driving a green Ford Mondeo estate, the man left the carriageway between Seven Springs and the Air Balloon between 1am and 1.30am today.
The man’s injuries are thought to be life-changing and he remains in a serious condition.
His next of kin have been informed.
No other vehicle is thought to be involved.
The road reopened at around 7.20am.
Anyone who witnessed the collision, or the vehicle prior to the incident, should call police on 101 quoting incident 12 of 27 September.
