ST Rose's in Stroud is holding an open day for prospective students on Thursday October 13.

The school has a nursery facility which is open to all children from the ages of two to four, including those with additional needs.

The main part of the school caters for both residential and day students, from five to post-16.

These pupils have a range of physical disabilities, sensory, learning and communications difficulties (including ASD) and complex health needs.

With their own hydrotherapy pool, sensory room and specially adapted facilities, the staff and onsite therapists ensure all the pupils have personalised learning programmes to suit each individual's specific needs.

The Specialist College of St Martin's caters for students from 19 to 25 years of age, who are also able to reside on the campus.

St Martin's Preparation for Adulthood Course is aimed at young adults from 19 to 25.

For parents wanting to come along to the Open Day, there are two sessions from 10.30am until 12 noon and from 1.30 pm until 2.30 pm. To book a place please contact 01453 763793.

St Rose's and St Martin's are also hoping people will come along to their Car Boot Sale which is being held on Sunday October 16 from 10.00 am in the school grounds.

The Friends of St Rose's are actively fund-raising for a new Living Skills Room and are hoping people will come along and use the sale to de-clutter and raise money from their unwanted items.

Acting Principal Sheila Talwar said: "We are all looking forward to the year ahead at St Rose's and St Martin's with so much happening. “There have been rumours in the past that we were closing which is far from the truth.

“My team and I are looking forward to welcoming visitors both to the Open Day and the Car Boot sale so they can gain an insight into the valuable work we do in bringing together integrated education, therapy and care for the children and young people who attend both our school and college."
