STUDENTS at Wycliffe College received a taste of university life during a series of career workshops.

Year 9, 10 and 11 received advice on the different types of higher education courses available, university fees and finance, the UCAS timeline, and the importance of making future subject choices with university in mind.

The sessions on September 28 were facilitated by UniTasterDays, who deliver motivational university talks for schools throughout the UK.

Jon Cheek, from UniTasterDays, said: “The students at Wycliffe College were a delight to work with.

"It is great to be working with them so early in their decision making process.

"By hosting sessions like this, where we motivate students and encourage them to plan early, we can ensure students make informed decisions in the future.

"This may be on university, or perhaps even earlier, by selecting subjects at A-Level which will facilitate further university level study."
