Following a seven-month international competition, Forest Green Rovers has selected Zaha Hadid Architects to design its new 5,000 seater football stadium.
The club’s proposed new football ground at Eco Park near Eastington would be the first all-wooden stadium anywhere in the world.
The winning design was revealed at the National League club’s New Lawn stadium this afternoon.
While no planning permission has yet been secured for the overall concept of Eco Park or its stadium, the club are hoping Stroud District Council will give them the green light later this year.
