BIKERS are being warned after a spate of motorcycle thefts in the Stroud area.
A garage in Woodside Lane, King's Stanley, was broken into in the early hours of last Tuesday, November 1, where four motorbikes were being kept.
Fortunately the bikes were not stolen as the would be thieves fled when the alarm sounded.
Similarly between 1am and 7am on Friday, November 4, a motorbike parked on a drive way of a home in Summer Street, Stroud, was stolen.
Inspector Andy Poole, of Stroud police, said the yellow Suzuki bike had a unique and expensive exhaust pipe.
He said it was one of a series of motorbike thefts which was 'very unusual.'
Bikers are encouraged to ensure their bikes are locked and to take security measures.
Anyone with information about the theft in Summer Street can call 101, quoting incident 55 of November 4.
