RESIDENTS and staff at a retirement Village in Painswick have launched an appeal to help put a smile on children's faces in the lead up to Christmas.
Children on the wards at Gloucester Royal Hospital will be treated to a chocolate advent calendar which will be delivered by staff and residents on Tuesday November 29, in time for the countdown to Christmas.
Senior village adviser at Richmond Painswick, Sonia Harte, said "Our residents were thrilled with the idea of offering a treat for children at Christmas.
“We approached the Nursing staff at the Children’s ward at Gloucester Royal Hospital and they thought this was lovely idea, if anyone is able to donate a calendar that would be amazing.”
If anyone would like to donate a chocolate advent calendar, please drop off to Richmond Village Painswick, Stroud Road, Painswick by Monday November 28 or call the Village Advisers on 01452 810203.
