CHALFORD’S elite Ninja Warrior will be teaming up with his sister to take on the gruelling assault course again this Saturday.

Personal trainer Dion Trigg will be returning to TV screens to compete in the second series of ITV’s Ninja Warrior UK.

The father-of-three is the owner of 'True Function - Ninja Training Ground' in Chalford –a gym based on the obstacles from the ‘world’s toughest obstacle course’.

Last year Dion took part with his father, but missed out from reaching the final stages of the competition.

This time around he returns with his sister Michelle, a mother and scuba dive instructor.

Together the pair will attempt to cement themselves in Ninja Warrior UK history by becoming the first brother and sister duo to complete the course.

In order to prepare himself for the challenge, Dion has been pushing his body to improve his grip strength and hone his technical abilities and agility.

He has been training almost every day for the past year and stripped every ounce of body fat to lose two stone.

This year Dion is supporting the charity 'Kidscape' - which works to prevent bullying and protect children.

Dion was bullied as a child physically and mentally and wants to be a role model for children.

A fan of the hit TV show since its conception in Japan in 1997, the Chalford man has been passionate follower ever since. He moved to the area in 2010.

Over the last few years he has trained with some of the best ‘ninjas’ around the world and represented the UK in Sasuke – the Vietnamese equivalent of Ninja Warrior.

  • Ninja Warrior UK will be screened on ITV at 7pm on Saturday January 21.
