STROUD and District Conservative Woman's Luncheon Club: The History and Culture of Belly Dancing by dance teacher Ann Blagdon
STROUD and District Conservative Woman's Luncheon Club started 2017 with a lovely colourful talk on The History and Culture of Belly Dancing by dance teacher Ann Blagdon.
Ann gave a most interesting talk, explaining the arm and hand movements and their meaning.
She also spoke of the subtle difference of the dancing between the Arabic countries.
Ann finished by giving a beautiful display of Egyptian dancing, her costumes in gold lamé were exquisite and with much adornments.
The Chairman, Wendy Cannon thanked Ann, and everyone agreed how enjoyable it was, and a lovely way to start the year.
Anyone interested in joining this very friendly club, meeting on the second Thursday of each month, should give Wendy Cannon a ring on 01453 886644
