A NARROW main road through Minchinhampton was blocked this morning after a car became wedged in-between a bus and a wall.
Police said the incident happened on West End at 10.20am, near the junction of the High Street and Well Hill.
A spokesman said: “A VW polo tried to squeeze through a gap next to a stationary single decker Stagecoach bus.
“The gap was too small and the car became wedged between the bus and a house.
“There had been some concern as the accident happened near a gas pipe.
“The car scraped the side of the bus, but there was very little damage. The drivers exchanged details.
“The road was cleared at around 11am. West End was partially blocked and traffic was affected through the High Street.”
The VW was registered to an elderly woman, but it is not clear whether she was driving the car at the time.
The number 69 Stagecoach bus was running 45 minutes late.
It resumed normal schedule for the 11.30 departure from Stroud.
