Former Avening organist and choirmaster acquitted of charges for indecent assault
FORMER Avening church organist and choirmaster Stuart Richard Walkley, 64, has been found not guilty of four historic charges of indecent assault.
Mr Walkley, of The Old School, Kingscourt in Stroud faced charges from the 1980s, involving males whilst working as a superintendent in Southdown, a national children’s home in Old Alresford Hampshire.
The trial held at Winchester Crown Court ran from Wednesday, February 8 until Wednesday, February 15 when Mr Walkley was acquitted on all counts.
