MINCHINHAMPTON is making progress on its plans to create a blueprint for any future development or house building in the area.

Councillors, campaigners and residents in the parish are working together to slowly form a draft of their Neighbourhood Development Plan.

At the end of 2016 surveys of local businesses, community groups, residents and housing needs were conducted to ask the opinions of all involved.

With the results now collated, roadshows are now taking place in late February and early March to share the results, the current vision and lay out the draft Plan policies.

The first will take place at Minchinhampton Market House from 9am till 2pm on Saturday, February 25.

The second follows the next day at the Amberley Parish Rooms from 11.30am to 1.30pm.

Then the following weekend the roadshow heads to Brimscombe C Of E Primary School on Saturday, March 4 from 10am till 12pm.

The final event will be at Box Village Hall on Sunday, March 5 from 11am till 1pm.

Residents, businesses and community groups are all invited to attend, to discuss the survey findings with members of the NDP Steering Group and with parish councillors and to have their contributions recorded.

Phil Raby Smith, (pictured) chair of the Minchinhampton NDP Steering Group, said: “Please do drop in if you possibly can to make sure your views and ideas are heard.”
