Police in Gloucestershire are on the lookout for anyone trading or selling old-style £50 notes after a large number were stolen in a burglary earlier this month.
The notes bearing an image of John Houblon were withdrawn from circulation in 2014 no longer have a legal tender status but can be exchanged at the Bank of England.
Scottish notes and US Dollars were also stolen and police believe the culprits may try to use or change these with retailers, banks or members of the public.
Anyone with information about this cash is urged to call 101, quoting incident 423 of 23/2/17.
