Stroud residents have been invited to take part in the next series of popular ITV2 reality show Love Island.

Producers are on the lookout for a group of ‘stunning singles’ to jet off to a sun kissed paradise for the summer of their lives.

The successful applicants will be in a race against time to couple up, as anyone that stays single will be in danger of leaving the villa and the lucrative cash prize behind.

There are a number of new features to keep everyone excited including an outdoor gym a re-designed love shack and new rules which allows the audience a big say in the outcome.

The audience at home will use a brand new App to choose which new singles should enter the villa and shake things up, which Islanders to send home, and who ultimately wins the prize.

Caroline Flack will return to host the series and is once again thrilled to be involved.

She said: “There's no better day than Valentines to announce the return of Love Island.

“I'm super excited to host series two and start watching all those ridiculously hot people get it on! It's going be a long hot summer...”

Flack will be supported by funny man Iain Stirling, who will be back to add his dry musings on all the events taking place in the villa.

ITV Studios' Creative Director of Entertainment, Richard Cowles said:

“Last summer Love Island came to ITV2 with a bang.  This year, a brand new cast of singles will take residence in our amazing villa to play TV's hottest game of love.

Anyone interested in a summer of romance can apply via www.ITV.com/LoveIsland or call the Love Island team on 0207 157 4600.
