A STROUD-BASED condiment company has secured a deal to export Wolfy’s Porridge to Germany.

Founded in 1989, Kitchen Garden are artisan producers of premium jams, chutneys, marmalades and condiments.

With over 50 awards under their belt, They have become a household name in the Cotswolds.

In 2013 they launched Wolfy’s Porridge – instant porridge pots each containing a little pot of jam or marmalade tucked under the lid.

Wolfy’s has seen strong growth since its launch, with outlets including Great Western Railway, Waitrose, Co-op and Whole Foods Market.

The company, based in Salmon Springs, has now secured a deal with Lindner Esskultur, food specialists based in Germany who boast over 40 outlets including food halls and delicatessen’s.

Commercial director James Horwood said: “This is really great news for Kitchen Garden and the Wolfy’s brand.

“Based on the strength of their first couple of orders we hope to see sales in excess of 10,000 pots this year.

“That’s not bad considering they weren’t sure if the German market were ready for the unique flavours of Wolfy’s.”

Operations director James Moinet added: “Wolfy’s has seen phenomenal success in the UK and to start exporting to Germany is a real feather in our cap and something to be proud of.

“We’re hoping that Wolfy’s will continue to grow in the UK and abroad.”

Wolfy’s currently has a range of six flavours which include: Spiced Pear & Ginger, Honey & Nut, Creamy Berry, Coconut with Lime, Organic Blackcurrant and Organic Plain & Simple
