PERSONAL TRAINER and boxercise instructor Jemela Coventry is organising a box2beat cancer ladies boxerthon.

The event will be in aid of Ovarian Cancer Action and will be held at Bussage Primary School in Stroud on Saturday, March 18 at 10am-1pm.

There will be time slots available ranging from one hour to the full three hours.

No previous experience of boxercise is required and all levels of fitness and ability are welcome. Full kit is supplied.

Get Fit With Jemela is a Stroud based ladies fitness company providing ladies boxercise and fitness classes as well as providing mobile personal training for women who feel intimated by the gym.

Jemela a mother of two first became involved with boxercise classes as a pupil and enjoyed them so much she retrained as an instructor.

She said: “When I was training to get fitter, boxercise was my favourite class.

“I enjoyed it so much that my husband suggested I retrain as an instructor.

“It’s such a great class because anyone of any ability can get involved.”

Now Jemela is looking to give something back by raising money for Ovarian Cancer Action.

Ovarian cancer is the UK’s most deadly gynaecological disease, yet symptoms awareness is poor and diagnosis often too late for treatment to be effective.
