NAILSWORTH'S famed duck race will return on Saturday, May 20 to kick off the week-long arts festival.

The duck race takes place from 10am till 1pm, it is £1 to sponsor a duck and there will be an array of stalls and there are fantastic prizes to be won.

Nailsworth Arts Festival runs until Saturday, May 27 - so far several acts have been announced with many more to follow over the next few months.

Thrill Collins are the first act to perform, kicking off the festival on the evening of Saturday, May 20.

The Rodborough-based award-winning author, Alice Jolly, will be at Egypt Mill at 7.30pm on Tuesday, May 23 to talk about her novel ‘Dead Babies and Seaside Towns’, tickets are £6.

Chloe of the Midnight Storytellers will lead 'Tales of Lust and Chocolate’ on Monday, May 2, tickets are £6 and there will be a bar and chocolate available.

The London Bridge Trio will perform on Sunday, May 21, their varied programme consists of Richard Schumann's Fantasiestucke, Kodaly's 'Duo for Violin and Cello' and Mendelssohn's 'Piano Trio No 2'.
