MORE than sixty pupils from all year groups at Thomas Keble School in Eastcombe have been working hard to bring Dickens’ classic novel Great Expectations to the stage.

In a new adaptation that makes the most of the novel’s colourful characters including the eccentric Miss Havisham, the play also includes twelve chorus members who narrate the story.

Three students playing the role of Pip as he goes on his long journey of self-discovery.

The show has its opening night tonight, Monday 20 March, at 7pm in the school hall, with further evening performances on Tuesday 21 March and Wednesday 22 March.
