BUSKINS shoe shop in Nailsworth is under new management after Leonie Stiles recently took over from her mother Diana.

Leonie who has a degree in fashion business has big plans for the shop, having already initiated a rebrand and refurbishment.

New brands have been introduced including Shoe Embassy and Oak & Hyde, to compliment there current range of popular comfort brands.

Diana who remains as firmly part of the business as director of Buskins admitted that tough economic times have hit the shop quite hard.

She said: “The last few years have been a difficult time for high street retailers but we are hoping Leonie will be able to breathe new life into our business and continue to provide a great service for our loyal customers”

The family are hoping that the shops second-coming will be aided by a Buskins own brand, designed by Leonie’s sister Hannah who has a degree in the footwear design.

Leonie said: “Hannah is really talented and I firmly believe a Buskins own brand could really take off.”

Buskins will be celebrating its 15th anniversary in July this year and the ladies are promising special plans.
