MUCH-ADMIRED Wrexham centre-back Curtis Tilt has joined Forest Green on loan.

Five days after playing against Rovers, Tilt,25, will now see out the rest of the season with Mark Cooper's side after penning a deal on the final day of the National League transfer window.

Tilt, who stands at an imposing 6ft 4ins, will travel with the rest of the Rovers' squad tomorrow ahead of their top of the table clash at Lincoln City on Saturday lunchtime.

"Curtis is highly-rated and will give us added cover defensivley for the run-in," said Rovers' boss Cooper.

Tilt has been a virtual ever-present for the Dragons after joining the club in the summer, playing 36 league games, and was close to a move up into League Two in January.

Wrexham boss Dean Keates was expecting to lose the powerful defender in the summer, he told the Daily Post: “I know Mark Cooper (Rovers manager) and he rang me to see if a deal was possible.

“Having spoken with Curtis and his advisors, it doesn’t seem that he will staying with us next season anyway."
