BLUEGRASS, country and rock and roll six/seven piece band The Whiteshillbillies will be showcasing some unique instruments at The Ale House in Stroud on Friday, March 31.
The group are building up a reputation on the steam and vintage circuit performing their bluegrass and country set.
Don’t miss their duelling banjos made famous in the film Deliverance. Two band members will also debut instruments they have manufactured and are selling themselves.
Ian Cormack Hicks, who plays guitar, mandolin, tenor banjo and slide guitar maestro, has manufactured four and six string cigar box slide guitars.
Engineer Mark Drake made his own five string banjo and UK company, Fairfield, is now manufacturing his ‘Super Banjo’ in the UK and worldwide.
He will have the first production banjo with him. Entry to the concert is free and the performance starts at 8.30pm.
