OUR government’s often repeated phrase ‘the will of the people’ is a shadow of democracy - it is ‘the will of the few’.
Of the 46 1/2 million eligible to vote last June in the remain/leave ER referendum almost 17 1/2, just over 37 per cent, were sufficiently motivated to vote for change, voting leave.
Over 62 per cent thus preferred the status quo of continuing European Union membership.
Who is representing ‘the will of the many’ now ?
