A 47-YEAR-OLD Stroud man who threatened to burn down a woman's flat and assaulted her has been given a community order with alcohol treatment requirement.
Wayne Bennett of London Road admitted assaulting the woman in the town between November 28 last year and December 3, and again on December 2.
At Cheltenham Magistrates Court Bennett on Friday March 31, he admitted threatening to set fire to the flat on December 2.
He also pleaded guilty to assaulting another woman in Stroud on November 29.
He was fined £50 and ordered to pay £50 prosecution costs.
Bennett was also given a community order until September 2018 with an alcohol treatment requirement.
