PEOPLE with a passion for where they live have been invited to take part in a new photo competition - and potentially win a share of £2,000 in cash prizes.

National estate agents Leaders is running its popular Love Living In competition for a third year; but this time it is asking for photo, rather than video, entries.

Allison Thompson, managing director at Leaders, says: “Love Living In 2017 couldn’t be simpler. We want to see exactly why people love living where they do in a single photograph.

“Having received a large number of fantastic videos in the last two years, we are incredibly excited to see how entrants go about highlighting the best of where they live in a single snap this year.

“We understand every town, city, coastline and piece of countryside is different, so we have created eight exciting categories in which photos will be judged. Whether you live in a concrete jungle or an isolated rural spot, you will be able to take a photo that could win in at least one of our categories.

“Most importantly of all, Love Living In remains open to everybody and is easier than ever. All it takes is a smartphone or modest camera and the ability to find the perfect view that shows off the best of the place you call home.”

Leaders will award prizes of £250 to the winners of its eight categories. The categories are:

• Urban Energy

• Natural Beauty

• People’s Choice

• Best of Spring

• Family Fun

• Young Photographer

• Cherished Landmarks

• Hidden Gems

Allison adds: “We are looking forward to seeing how people interpret these categories and hope they will provide plenty of inspiration when it comes to taking a stunning photo.”

The Young Photographer category is open only to those aged under 16, while the People’s Choice winner will be decided by an online vote and the number of likes each photo receives on Facebook. All other winners will be selected by a panel of judges.

All people need to do to enter is send their photo (at least 1MB in size) to lovelivingin@leaders.co.uk along with their name, age and location. The closing date for entries is Tuesday, May 2.
