A MEMORIAL match to remember the life of 24-year-old Royal Artillery gunner Jack Mitchell took place on at Painswick Rugby Club on Saturday.
Jack played for Painswick RFC and had a great love and passion for rugby, his father Julian is club chairman.
A large crowd gathered at the club in memory of Jack and to support Painswick against local rivals Cainscross.
Cainscross ran out 27-24 winners in an incredibly tight contest that was a strong display of local rugby and a fitting celebration of Jack’s life.
There were also plenty of family activities such as a bouncy castle, slide, inflatable gladiators, music and a hog roast.
All proceeds taken from the day were donated to Rugby for Heroes.
