A GROUP of pre-war car enthusiasts from the Five Valleys drove 30 miles in a range of classic cars on Sunday, raising money for Macmillan Cancer Care.
Sixteen members of Stroud and Nailsworth Austins in the Locality (SNAILS) set off from Minchinhampton Common via Wanswell to Frampton-on-Severn before ending their journey at The Bell on Frampton Green.
Through entry donations, the group managed to raise £222 for their chosen charity.
SNAILs, founded just a year ago by Austin owner Kevin Bown, is an informal group of local pre-war classic car aficionados who meet and chat monthly at a local pub.
If you would like to join the group (and you don’t need to own an Austin) contact Kevin on 01453 882223 or kevinbown@gmx.co.uk.
