THE GRAND Village Fete in Brimscombe is back again for more fun and activities for all the family.

Community stalwart Liz Peters is bowing out of co-coordinating the Grand Village Fete after nearly 30 years and helping to raise over £100,000 for local charities.

The managing committee are now in control and this year the event is taking place on Saturday, May 20 from 10.30am to 5pm at the Brimscombe and Thrupp Playing Fields.

The format is similar to all the past ones, there will be a tea tent, bar, BBQ, dog show, vintage vehicles, competitions, fun fare and go karts.

The Grand Village Fete is also pleased to welcome back as many displays as previous years including cheerleading, dancing by local schools, a Punch and Judy show and much more.

There will also be an auction going on during the day which enables you to bid for items such as a gym membership, entry to many different attractions, books, a round of golf, beauty treatments, gliding lessons and much more.

The event is free and everyone is welcome to attend, hopefully there will be good weather on the day.
