A GLOUCESTERSHIRE law firm is hosting workshops in Stroud to help residents get to grips with employment law.

The workshops, provided by Willans LLP, are aimed at directors, senior executives, HR managers and in-house legal advisors.

They will be held in May and September this year at Stonehouse Court Hotel as part of the company’s 70th anniversary.

Matthew Clayton, head of the employment law team at Willans, said: “Regardless of the size of your business, if you employ staff, then it’s vital to keep up-to-date with the latest requirements in employment law.

“These seminars provide a refresher of the latest legal developments, helping you to avoid exposing your organisation to unnecessary risks.

“They’re a great networking opportunity too so you can share ideas and experiences with other local professionals.”

The first seminar is on Tuesday, May 9 and will give a general update on recent and future developments in employment law, with a discussion on the implications of Brexit.

Willans’ second seminar on Thursday, September 21 will look at alternative working arrangements and how employers can avoid falling foul of the law.

Each workshop will take place between 9am and 1.30pm, tickets cost £30 per person, including lunch.

An early bird discount applies to bookings made by May 31 for the September event.
