A FOOTBALL player from Brimscombe has scored a new home after an assist from a teammate and his club’s manager.

Sam Dickerson, has been regular player for Lioncourt Legends for the past two years in the Friday Night League at the home of Brimscombe’s Inside Football, helping them to three Premier League titles.

When it came to finding a home for him, his girlfriend Gemma and their seven-year-old son Harvey he noticed the new builds from Lioncourt Homes at Cotswold View in King’s Stanley.

Luckily for him the chief executive of Lioncourt Homes, Colin Cole, is also Sam’s manager.

Colin, along with assistant site manager George Cole – who is also Sam’s teammate – dutifully assisted him through the process of acquiring the three-bedroom home.

Sam said: “George has built us the perfect home and in return I have made George look even better on the football field.

“Lioncourt Homes has helped us through every stage from reservation through to completion as well as building us a top-quality home which we are absolutely delighted with.

“I never thought that by joining a football team that it would lead to our dream of a new home becoming a reality, thank you to everyone at Lioncourt.

George said: “Our development at Cotswold View has been a great success and there are now only five homes remaining to be sold.

“We are very proud to be one of only 15 home builders in the UK to be holders of the 5 Star Quality Accreditation and it is particularly pleasing to welcome Sam and his family as the latest satisfied customers.

“Perhaps when Sam gets settled into his new home we will see him return to his earlier impressive form!”
