A MAN from Brownshill pleaded guilty at Gloucester Crown Court on Wednesday to being concerned in supplying Ecstasy and possessing cash which was the proceeds of crime.
William Sanford-Hankinson, 21, of St Mary’s Way, Brownshill, admitted he was concerned in the supply of a category A controlled drug, MDMA on June 16 last year.
He also admitted that he was in possession of cash on June 23 knowing or suspecting it was the proceeds of crime.
Sanford-Hankinson will be sentenced on June 14.
Mary Cowe, prosecuting, said his pleas were acceptable and a trial scheduled to start on June 7 would no longer be needed.
Sarah Jenkins, defending, said Sanford-Hankinson has no previous criminal convictions, he had once been cautioned by police, however, for possession of cannabis. She asked for a pre-sentence report on him and Judge Jamie Tabor QC agreed.
Bailing the defendant, Judge Tabor said: "You don't seem to be entirely with it. I am going to speak to you very clearly indeed. You have got to be back here on June 14.”
Judge Tabor told Sanford-Hankinson to speak to a probation officer before leaving court.
