I WENT to the sale at Access Bike today and bought an amazing BMX bike with my birthday money that had been refurbished by the bigger boys at this community project.

Everyone at the event was very friendly and ‘bike mad’, I will be going there again.

Having bought this bike I decided to take my old BMX that was a bit small for me to them which they were very happy to have.

Access Bike have very few small bikes for little children at the moment so if any of your readers have a bike they could donate could they please think of them.

Editor’s note: Access Bike is a fantastic community project and we only too happy to publicise their work.

Volunteers repair unwanted bikes which are then used by young people who want a set of wheels.

It also runs personal development courses.

Pop along on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 2pm to 6pm to find out more or to donate unwanted bikes.
