A BEAUTIFUL stone carving has been stolen from The Glade in the centre of Stroud.
The Glade was previously a derelict wasteland off Nelson Street but has now been transformed into a place of beauty and is special to many.
Anne Creed was responsible for the transformation which was inspired by the poet and war hero Ivor Gurney.
James Pentney who spends a lot of time at the Glade was creator of the stolen stone and his hoping the thievery was worth their while.
He said: “I’d like to know where it has gone and I hope it brings at much joy to them as it would had they left it where it was.”
The stone has the words H20 carved across the front and If anyone knows anything about its disappearance email sev@stroudnewsandjournal.co.uk.
