Reader's Letter: Beyond satire
SO PM Theresa May proclaims - nay, almost boasts - that she would be prepared to launch a first-strike nuclear attack, thus almost certainly precipitating a nuclear war.
“Safe and secure”, anyone?
Our planet, and ourselves, are far more safe and secure with a leader who unambiguously says that he would never launch a first-strike nuclear attack under any circumstances.
As the great satirist Tom Lehrer said in a different context, this pro-nuclear madness really is beyond any conceivable parody or satire.
