MRS May says the Conservatives are the party of low taxation.

Of course they are, but who gains most from low taxation?

The rich.

But low taxation means less money for the Government to spend on maintaining a decent way of life for most of the population.

Why should that worry them?

After all, the rich have no need for the NHS, nor state schools or libraries.

What does it matter if children have to be fed by charities and people need food banks.

Low taxation may be an attractive bait to wave in front of the voters, but it means further cut-backs.

The money has to come from somewhere.

A recent official statement said that among European countries, Britain has the greatest percentage increase of very rich people.

Is this something to be proud of?

For Mrs May and her cronies, it probably is, but for the rest of us it is a pretty damning statistic.

The peculiar thing is that, even with the facts before them, people still go on voting for them.

I have come to the conclusion that for many people, voting for the conservatives makes them feel more upper class.

They may suffer but at least they voted with the ruling elite.

Do you really want more austerity?

Think about it.
