EMERGENCY services are currently attending what appears to be a serious incident in Stroud town centre.

Police have confirmed that it is in no relation to the Manchester attack, and that officers are dealing with a serious incident.

There are reports that say paramedics are attending to someone who is believed to have come from one of the flats above the high street shops.

It’s been reported that it is not being treated as a suspicious incident and police are there to support medical staff.

CID officers are leading investigations at the scene and Gloucestershire Police is awaiting an update from them.

Four ambulances and three police vehicles have been parked in the High Street opposite Costa Coffee.

One ambulance vehicle is for critical care.

Customers at Costa Coffee sat outside were told to go inside by emergency services at the scene.

An ambulance has been in front of the High Street side of Union Street.
