CARDIGAN’S Small World Theatre has joined forces with Transition Haverfordwest to bring puppetry to life with a bilingual performance of The Lightning Path.
The Lightning Path is a new family puppet theatre show touring Wales with an environmental message.
It combines skilled puppetry with beautiful animated projections and original music, to tell a tale of our times. Ella wonders why her family farm is flooding. Her grandfather worries about eels not coming up the river anymore. She embarks on a magical journey through changing landscapes with her new friend, Harri the flying hare.
On her global journey, Ella meets curious creatures and people that help her learn new ways of understanding and caring.
The Lightning Path will appeal to everyone aged six and over with its beautifully crafted puppets, animation, original music score and rich visual vocabulary.
The show is around 45 minutes with no interval. It is a bilingual performance with the actors/puppets using Welsh and English. The audience will understand the story without needing a translator.
The show has all the thoughtful qualities of a Small World Theatre production, and will take the audience on a fun, exciting journey that encourages global citizenship.
