DAVID Drew has confirmed that he has stepped down as vice-chairman of Forest Green Rovers after becoming MP for Stroud at last week's general election.
Speaking to BBC Radio Gloucestershire this morning he said: "Well I've had to put in my resignation as vice-chair and I won't be as involved clearly in the Eco Park project, but Dale Vince understands that.
"But don't worry I'll be watching Forest Green as many games I can, I didn't miss a minute last season, it might be a bit more difficult now, but to me Forest Green are the epitomy of the underdog, i'm an underdog, so I hope the two of us can go forward together."
