AS THE temperatures in Stroud soared over the weekend, the lido at Stratford Park Leisure Centre saw an influx of people who decided to make the most of the hot weather.
However, the lido now needs your help. An investigation by Stroud District Council and a group of volunteer supporters is taking place from now until the end of July, looking at the future of the lido and how it can be improved and restored to the beautiful attraction it was in the 1930s.
As part of the project, SDC and the volunteers involved are keen to hear the opinions and voices of everyone in the Stroud area, in order for the community to be involved with the development of the project.
They have therefore set up an online survey, which anyone can fill in. Just click the link below to access it:

The survey should take no longer than 10 minutes to complete, and there is also a chance to win a three month membership to the leisure centre.
This is an excellent opportunity to have your say on what you think the future of the outdoor pool could be.
Pool Opening Times:
Main Pool: 11AM – 7PM
Toddler Pool: 12PM – 5PM
Built in 1937, the Stratford Park Lido (Outdoor Pool) comprises a swimming pool 50m x 18m fed by spring water, a parabolic diving board, art deco fountain, changing rooms and other out buildings. The Lido is owned by Stroud District Council and managed by SLM Leisure and located in Stratford Park adjacent to a Leisure Centre built in 1974.
