FROCESTER Cricket Club’s £600,000 pavilion will officially open with a full day of activities at Pounds Close on Sunday, July 23.
The main event will see a team of high level amateurs organised by Frocester skipper Nick Trainor entertain a side of overseas players from around the country.
Due to start at 2pm the 35 over match should see plenty of big hitting and high levels of entertainment.
Earlier in the day various activities will be on offer including a Zumba warm up from 9.30am, a women’s softball cricket festival from 10am and a Kwick cricket tournament for the youth section from 1pm.
The official opening of the pavilion will take place during the tea interval and a former England test cricketer is rumoured to be doing the honours.
Following the cricket there will be live music with Stephen the Busker performing and the bar will remain open until late.
The day is designed to get as many people involved in cricket as possible and to interact with members of the public who are not necessarily affiliated with the club.
It is also a chance to show off the wonderful new facility that has already received huge levels of praise.
