Stroud Boys’ Technical School Old Boys’ Association

‘THEY didn’t ‘drive their Chevyies to the levy’ but arrived in more sedate style to celebrate the Tea & Tour at Marling School on the afternoon of Tuesday, July 4.

A gathering of nearly 40 ‘Good Old Boys’, all former pupils of the Stroud Boys’ Technical School, met at the kind invitation of Marling School’s head teacher, Dr Stuart Wilson, for a tour of their old school, Now Marling’s East Campus.

The ‘Boys’ greatly enjoyed exploring their old haunts and many memories were revived and shared amongst the attendees.

A delicious buffet tea was laid on by the Marling students who also acted as guides around the extensive Marling Campus.

The Stroud Boys’ Technical School was amalgamated with Marling in 1965 but still maintains an independent Old Boys’ Association.

It always welcomes new members.
