UPLANDS Community Primary School put on an art exhibition, with pupils work over the summer term, called Welcome to the World.
The gallery has been put on to celebrate the work that the children have done over the last few months and to show how important art and creativity is in the curriculum.
Head teacher Richard Lucas said: “Uplands area is a really creative area, and the school reflects that, so the arts are really high profile in the school, we do a lot of art.
“We felt that the next step in our art was to put on an exhibition out of school in Stroud.
“This is just the summer term, we wanted a real focus on that, and this is a way of celebrating all of the children’s work.
“A lot of effort goes into it but it’s been really amazing.
“We’ve had hundreds of people just off the street come in.
“People have been ringing the school just to say how great it is, it’s just been phenomenal, people are very keen to do it again next year, but we’ll have to wait and see.”
The exhibition was at Lansdown Hall and Art Gallery in Stroud on Tuesday, July 18 and Wednesday, July 19.
