LONGFIELD charity have been presented with a cheque of more than £2,300 from Sainsbury’s Stroud.
Longfield supports adults with life-limiting illness from diagnosis onwards, helping them to understand their illness, to cope better with its impact on their lives and to live well.
Customers and members of Sainsbury’s staff chose Longfield as their charity partner for 2016-2017 and participated in a number of fundraising activities including, fancy dress days and colleague quiz nights.
Dave Ball, Store Manager at Sainsbury’s Stroud said: “We’ve really enjoyed working with Longfield over the past 12 months.
“Our customers and colleagues have helped to raise vital funds for the charity and we’re really proud with everything we’ve achieved.”
Community manager at Longfield, Julia Mundell added: “We would like to thank Sainsbury’s for their fundraising efforts.
“Longfield helps patients live well and die with dignity, so all the money we receive is vital.”
