AUDIENCES partied all day long this past Saturday at the amazing Chalfest.

The festival featured performances from big names including Fun Lovin’ Criminals, Toploader and Dick and Dom.

Chalfest - The Party on the Hill was organised with a simple premise in mind, have the community work together in putting on an event for all the family whilst giving the many groups within the area a chance to earn some much needed funds for their various charities and causes.

Dan Burner, one of Chalfest's organisers, said: "I couldn't be happier, seeing the kids dancing and enjoying the music was great to see.

"The rain held off and it was a just a joyous occasion."

"In terms of a highlight, for my kids it was probably Dick and Dom but the for me was seeing Huey Morgan from the Fun Lovin' Criminals.

"The day was great, just great."

Each of the community groups, including local schools, churches and playgroups, were allotted a space free of charge to raise their own funds.

Attendee Christopher Spring filmed some aerial views of the festival with a drone camera.

There were three music stages, a children’s entertainment area, an arts and crafts marquee, food stalls, circus performers, bars, workshops and a silent disco.

As well as Fun Lovin’ Criminals and Toploader, Dick and Dom brought their show during the day for children of all ages to the main stage.

The second stage, curated by The Prince Albert pub from Stroud, featured up and coming bands playing everything from blues to country, jazz to pop.

All in all there were 20 bands and performers over the three stages on the day.
