FOREST GREEN goalkeeper Harry Pickering caught the eye for Shortwood United in their latest pre-season game.
Pickering, 19, who joined Forest Green last week from Port Vale had a hand in the only goal as his torpedo-kick dropped to Levi Cox to claim the only goal.
Earlier, Wood left out Jack Freeman out of the line-up after his knock against Highworth. Wood also gave a debut to former Stonehouse Town striker Alex Kibble.
