A MAN has been arrested following the attempted knifepoint robbery of a 12-year-old boy in Stroud.

The 48-year-old man from Gloucester was arrested yesterday, Tuesday August 15, on suspicion of attempted robbery and has been released under investigation.

On Wednesday, August 9 in the alleyway leading from Stratford Park to Jack Russell Close in Stroud, a 12-year-old boy was approached by a man and threatened with a pocket knife.

The boy was unharmed in the incident and nothing was taken but he was very upset.
